Derik Andreoli
Andreoli is currently a doctoral candidate of Geography at the UW and a co-founder of Energy Transitions NW. Derik's academic background is in GIS and economic geography (with a strong emphasis in regional economic development). His doctoral research focuses on oil scarcity and the global economy. As an independent consultant, Derik has worked with Seattle's Office of Economic Development, the Office of Financial Management (Washington), and the Community, Trade, and Economic Development Division of Washington State (Dept. of Commerce). Derik has also provided GIS analysis services for WSDOT's Freight Division. Most recently, Derik published his GIS-based analysis of the changing geography and structure of the U.S. logistics industry in the peer-reviewed academic journal Transportation Letters.
