Meet the Instructor
Elizabeth Sanocki
Senior Lecturer, Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering, University of Washington
Elizabeth Sanocki has more than 20 years of experience in information architecture and user experience design and research, most recently as a senior user experience designer at Amazon, doing UX design for Amazon Web Services. Over her career, she’s been employed in-house and as a consultant, collaborating to create new products and enhance existing ones — from websites to operating systems. She’s worked closely with engineering, design, usability, marketing and product planning and business development disciplines to research, define, refine and drive experience requirements through implementation.
Sanocki earned her Ph.D. in physiological psychology from the University of Washington, where her dissertation was on human color perception. She also holds dual bachelor's degrees in psychology and packaging from Michigan State University.
