  • Completion of a formal capstone project for a health care organization
  • Eligibility to sit for a national certifying exam to become a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
  • Choice to complete certificate in one or two years
Who Should Apply
  • Individuals with at least a bachelor's degree who wish to work with health informatics and health information management, health data systems and emerging electronic health record systems
Examine the use of technology in the secure collection and maintenance of personal health data. Improve the delivery of health care with the latest methods and technologies for the collection, organization, use and evaluation of health care information. Understand legal, regulatory and compliance issues, and study finance management. Develop health care management and leadership skills. Learn about quality assurance and research methods within health care settings.
