Gain an overview of health care codes of conduct, ethics, laws and national issues related to health care regulatory compliance in a variety of health care settings, particularly physician clinics, hospitals and long term care settings. Study recent health care reform legislation that requires most health care providers or suppliers who receive Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement to develop compliance programs. Learn how to develop effective compliance programs, including effective auditing and monitoring. Understand the operational safeguards necessary to promote adherence to legal, regulatory and health plan program requirements.
