Botanical Illustration

Participants study the classification and identification of botanical subjects as they explore the field of scientific botanical illustration. They work to improve observation skills and continue to develop skills in drawing, composition and facility with both pen and ink and watercolor or gouache. Course includes two scheduled Saturday field trips to the UW Greenhouse and Washington Park, Anacortes, to emphasize on-site nature drawing and observation of a variety of plants in a larger habitat.
