Categorical Data Analysis In Epidemiology (BIOST 536)

This course introduces basic and advanced methods of multiple regression analysis applied to binary data drawn from epidemiological and health science sources. Topics covered include logistic regression, coefficient interpretation, conditional logistic regression, confounding and causality, and diagnostics. Students will gain experience in interpretation of regression output, awareness of common pitfalls, critical review of published analyses and familiarity with analysis of actual data using statistical software.
