Editing Social Media

This course introduces students to the quickly changing world of social media. You will learn how to maneuver your way through the vast landscape of social networking, including writing and editing via social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress, LinkedIn, etc. We will explore SEO’s, CMS’s, Google Docs, storytelling, interactivity, collaborating, and connections among individuals, dispersed control over messaging, editing text from non-English speakers, properly crediting writers and photographers, time management, and how to network professionally. You will learn how you or your company can benefit from social media.
