Intermediate English for Writing in Science and Industry (ESCI N170)

Refine your written English language skills in science and industry contexts. This course focuses on vocabulary and grammar used in comparing and contrasting, stating cause-effect relationships and proposing solutions.  

Designed for international professionals, ESCI 170 is the second of two courses in an online, non-credit certificate program in English for Writing in Science and Industry. The first course in the certificate, Beginning English for Writing in Science and Industry (ESCI 160), is a pre-requisite for ESCI 170. After successfully completing ESCI 160 and 170, students receive a University of Washington certificate.
