School Business Officials as Systems Leaders in K-12 Organizations

An examination of the role of the school district business official as a member of the superintendent’s leadership team. Students will study different models of business leadership in the K-12 educational context, strategic planning and budgeting and transparent, data-driven decision making. At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to employ strategic fiscal planning in support of the district’s mission.
