Course Description

Vertebrate Illustration

UW Seattle, Classroom, Winter 2013

Cost: $659 | 3 CEUs

Comparative biomechanics of animal movement is introduced to develop an understanding of the surface anatomy as it relates to the underlying musculoskeletal structures. Rendering styles feature dynamic depictions of both internal and external anatomies. Techniques include both black/white and color. Digital illustration techniques will also be taught in a Mac computer lab, with open lab access time during weekends.

Guest speakers include Karen Petersen and Charles Wood (subject to change).
