For over a decade, we've offered courses and certificates online. Our diverse menu of free general interest courses – ranging from The American Revolution to HTML Basics – is designed to spark your interest in lifelong learning and familiarize you with online education.
The next wave in online learning is here, and you’re invited to take part. The University of Washington now offers select courses for free through Coursera, which provides access to massive open online courses (MOOCs) taught by top professors from some of the world’s leading universities. These dynamic offerings – including Programming Languages and Introduction to Computer Networks – run on a specific, 10-week schedule and must be signed up for in advance.
