Foundations of Programming in R

This course is an introduction to the R programming language (www.r-project.org) for students who have had no prior computer programming experience. The student will learn how to program with R using:

• R data structures
• data import and export capabilities
• control statements (if, while, for, etc.)
• functions and scripts
• graphics parameters
• packages

Upon completion of the course students will know to write R scripts to access data, perform analysis, and plot results to visualize data.
