• How do I get my Private Access Code (PAC) and UW NetID?
  After registering for a noncredit class, you will receive a letter providing your private access code (PAC). This code can be used to establish your UW NetID, your personal network identification. Once your UW NetID is established, you may connect to MyUW to view your registration schedule and access information about university resources and activities. If you purchase a computer account when you register (see below), your UW NetID will also allow you to access computers in campus computing labs, dial-in modem pools, UW email, Web publishing and more.
• How can I get computer access?

  UW Professional & Continuing Education students enrolled in noncredit courses, who need access to email, the Internet, or a C or C++ compiler to complete homework assignments, may purchase a computer account when registering. The fee is $55 per quarter. No refunds are available for computer accounts.

• What are Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?

  Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are earned by students who successfully complete noncredit courses offering CEUs. A nationally recognized means to document participation in organized noncredit continuing education, the CEU provides a vehicle for employers, professional groups and licensing agencies to account for the successful completion of noncredit courses. The number of CEUs earned by successfully completing a course, if any, is indicated at the end of the course description. The number of CEUs earned by the student who successfully completes a noncredit course providing CEUs is recorded on the UW Educational Outreach Official Record. Students may request a UW Educational Outreach Official Record by sending a written request to:

  Students who fail to attend noncredit courses providing CEUs must officially withdraw to avoid receiving a notation of unsuccessful completion on their UW Educational Outreach Official Record (see Noncredit Refund & Withdrawal Policies).

• Can I take noncredit courses as a high school student?

  High school students (or younger students) may be eligible to take noncredit UW Professional & Continuing Education courses. See UW Professional & Continuing Education enrollment policy for details.

• Can I get a Husky Card™ (official UW ID card)?
  The Husky Card is the official identification card for members of the UW community and is available to non-degree students enrolled in academic credit and noncredit courses. The Husky Card serves as your library card to all UW libraries and may qualify you for student discounts at UW events, museums and the University Book Store rebate program. All Husky Cards are automatically linked to a debit account which can be used to pay for printing at campus computer labs, campus dining facilities to pay for meals, and paying for parking at various lots on campus. For a complete list of services and information on adding funds to your card, please visit the Husky Card Account website. (https://www.hfs.washington.edu/huskycard/Default.aspx?id=609) The Husky Card Account & ID Center is located on the ground floor of Odegaard Undergraduate Library. Their office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 am -5 pm. You will need to know your student ID number and take a U.S. state or federally-issued photo identification such as a driver’s license or passport in order to get a Husky Card. ONLY students enrolled in classroom-based academic credit courses have the option of purchasing a U-PASS (see Getting Around).
