The following information pertains to standalone online courses. For certificates and degrees, please see the instructions given on the specific program pages.
How to register: Instructions for registration will be included on your course page under the Apply tab. Browse to your program and view the specifics there.
Course prerequisites: Students are responsible for providing documentation (transcripts and/or test scores) verifying the stated prerequisites for credit courses at the time of registration. Students may register for courses with prerequisites via mail, fax or in-person. Documentation must be attached to the registration form. If the prerequisite courses were completed at the UW, please indicate your UW student number for prerequisite verification. If you need academic advising to discuss course requirements or pre-requisites, please contact our advising office at 543-6160 or advisers@pce.uw.edu.
Payment policy: Students must pay fees when registering. Fees cannot be billed, except for third-party payers within the United States who include a purchase order or letter of authorization to bill with the registration form. Payment by Visa or MasterCard is accepted. There is a $25 service charge for returned checks.
Social Security number and birth date: For tax credit purposes, federal law requires the university to obtain your Social Security number. Providing your birth date is required to enroll in credit courses.
