About this Course
Explore the fundamental principles of the exhibition process in museums. Consider the purpose, planning and management, design, production, fabrication and evaluation of museum exhibitions. Students gain both an understanding of the fundamental principles of museum exhibition work and the necessary skill sets to apply those principles at an institution. The class will visit a museum for an in-depth exploration of the process that resulted in the exhibit in front of them. Students apply their learning by devising an exhibit theme, drawing an exhibit plan to scale and writing an exhibit brief and concept map.
