This is a two-part course spanning autumn and winter quarters. Topics covered over the two quarters include:

  • Systems Engineering: systems analysis and process models, system architecture, trade studies, requirements analysis, functional analysis
  • Project Management: project initiation and selection, planning and work breakdown structure, launching a project, monitoring and controlling, risk and uncertainty
  • Finance: time-value of money, discounted cash flows, net present value criteria, capital investment decisions, risk and return analysis, real options
  • Supply Chain: definition and scope, logistics, understanding risks, inventory and distribution, supply chain leadership
