About this Course


The goal of this course is to teach basic programming skills through the JavaScript programming language. The course will teach JavaScript primarily through the use of a console. Console teaching will be spread throughout the course and used to help break up lecture time with students trying out examples.

  • Basic programming with control structures and variables

  • Data structures
  • Object model
  • Prototypal inheritance
  • Basics of events
  • Development tools

  • A little browser “stuff”
