About this Course
In this course, students actively transform health care data into useful information. Students have the opportunity to work with data to create all the major types of reporting-based analyses. They produce a final project that uses a supplied dataset to create a portfolio of reports in one subcategory of reporting.
Topics include:
- Analytics pipeline from source system to decision making
- Different types of reporting: operations, management, risk management, regulatory, quality, contracting and payer
- Registry data and prospective patient selection
- Business and clinical intelligence concepts and tools
- Data visualization versus dashboarding best practices
- Data warehousing and database concepts
- Introduction to statistical data analysis techniques
