About this Course


This course introduces students to health care and research statistics. We’ll cover hospital statistics, which are used to calculate usage levels of health care resources and outcomes of clinical operations, and research statistics, which are used to summarize and describe significant characteristics of a data set. You’ll learn to make inferences about a population based on data collected from a sample. We’ll also explore research principles, including the Institutional Review Board process.

You have the option of completing this certificate program over two years or three. You must complete all 20 courses to earn the certificate.
