Course Details

About this Course


This course introduces students to health care and research statistics. We’ll cover hospital statistics, which are used to calculate usage levels of health care resources and outcomes of clinical operations, and research statistics, which are used to summarize and describe significant characteristics of a data set. You’ll learn to make inferences about a population based on data collected from a sample. We’ll also explore research principles, including the Institutional Review Board process.

Program Overview

Depending on your background, you can complete the certificate program in one or two years of part-time study. After you’re accepted, program faculty will design a custom study plan for you.
