About this Course
Technical leaders are not necessarily managers, but often lead from positions of unofficial authority. This course will cover the skills needed to build, lead and motivate high-performance teams as a technical leader.
The first step in becoming a leader is to develop self-awareness, including how others perceive you and how you react in stressful situations. You’ll start the course by taking a personality assessment to determine your general traits and how you interact with other personality types. We’ll discuss communication styles, team composition, negotiation skills and decision making within the context of this structure. Team diversity can be an asset, and we’ll explore various types of diversity in the course, including cultural and generational.
