About this Course


Human resources professionals have two overarching goals: to activate and support organizational talent and to maximize the performance of business functions through talent. To achieve these goals, they need to be well-versed in the broad range of human resources functions and master core HR skills. 

In this course, you’ll get an overview of human resources and roles within the field. You’ll recognize how HR interacts with other parts of the organization and the foundational competencies needed in any HR role, such as talent management, data management and communication. We’ll discuss why employee policies and policy compliance are important and how to use critical thinking skills to identify core problems, develop possible solutions, and mitigate common risks.
