COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement
All UW Professional & Continuing Education (UWPCE) students, including fully online students, are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they receive a medical or religious exemption.
Vaccinated Students
Vaccinated students must verify their vaccination status through a secure student attestation form (UW NetID required). After answering a few questions about your vaccination, you’ll be asked to upload proof of vaccination, such as a vaccination card or other vaccination record.
Students Requesting an Exemption
In addition to the student attestation form, students who are requesting an exemption for medical reasons or deeply held religious beliefs must complete a COVID-19 Medical or Religious Exemption Request. Philosophical exemptions are no longer allowed by Washington state.
Deadlines
UWPCE has two types of programs and courses — those you apply to first and those you directly register for. The vaccination requirement is checked at a different stage for each of these.
- If you applied to a certificate program or course, you must provide proof of vaccination or submit a request for an exemption before you can register for your first class.
- If you directly registered for a course without applying first, you must provide proof of vaccination or submit a request for an exemption before you can attend your first class.
