Brandon Chapman

Structural Analyst, Structural Damage Technology, Boeing

Brandon Chapman has been a structural analyst in the Structural Damage Technology group at Boeing since 2006. He’s primarily involved in the development of durability and damage tolerance analysis methods and allowables. Prior to joining Boeing, he worked as a research scientist at the National Synchrotron Light Source facility at Brookhaven National Laboratory. He has published papers in a number of journals, including Science, Physical Review, Journal of Applied Physics, Journal of Crystal Growth, Environmental Science and Technology and Chemistry of Materials. In 2015, he co-authored a paper published in the proceedings of the International Committee on Aeronautical Fatigue and Structural Integrity. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Washington, and, during his graduate studies, he helped develop experimental beamline facilities at the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory.
