Daniel Herrera

Daniel Herrera has founded security teams both internal to enterprises and in third-party security services for the past 15 years, with a diverse background in tackling engineering and operational challenges at scale across the information security field. He currently serves as an executive director for Core Development at JPMorgan Chase & Co., all views and opinions expressed are his own.
Herrera’s hands-on experience in attacking and securing a wide array of technologies across many name brand organizations provides a unique perspective on the patterns and prevalence of risks, the benefits and limitations of automation, and the value of foundational knowledge in computing. He believes ethical hacking is modern technology literacy and everyone should be empowered with the skills to know what they're buying, how it works and how it affects them.
