Meet the Instructor
Nicholas Strathy is a software professional active in development, testing and teaching. His experience includes stints in university research and freelance software development. He also spent more than 10 years as a developer and tester at Microsoft, where he worked on handwriting recognition, web development and remote desktop virtualization in the cloud. Strathy's entry into embedded software was in 2013, when he developed test frameworks for the Surface Pro 3. His embedded software interests include real-time operating systems, wearable computing and remote sensing and control via the Internet of Things.
Strathy has a master’s in computer science from Concordia University and certificates in data science and embedded and real-time systems programming from the University of Washington.
