Stephen F. Elston
Managing Director, Quantia Analytics
Stephen F. Elston is managing director of Quantia Analytics, a data science consultancy, and a cofounder of FinAnalytica. He’s a big data geek, data scientist, instructor and O’Reilly author. He has more than two decades of experience in predictive analytics and machine learning with R, S/S-PLUS and Python. He’s developed, sold and supported multiple analytics solutions and previously led research and development for the S-PLUS companies. He creates solutions for financial market and credit risk, trading analytics, wireless telecom, and fraud prevention. He’s an Azure Advisor to Microsoft and holds a Ph.D. in geophysics from Princeton University.
