Steve Kauffman
Software Engineer and Architect, Philips Healthcare
Steve Kauffman has been writing C++ software for large hardware and software systems with real-time performance constraints for more than 20 years. He has served as a system engineer and architect for both mature products and new platform development and is currently the technical lead for a team of 10 developers.
Mr. Kauffman has worked with internal and external researchers to define high-quality interfaces and turn prototype code into production-quality software. He works daily with colleagues in Europe, India and North America to produce C++ code with a high unit and product-level automated testing. He also works on medical-device software, which meets a high bar for regulatory compliance from the U.S. FDA and similar agencies worldwide.
