We asked Peter Luyckx, an instructor in our Certificate in Storytelling & Content Strategy, to share a few of his favorite professional resources with us. Here’s what he had to say about what he’s loving right now and why.
Instructor, Content Strategy: Crafting the User Experience
Content Strategist & Copywriter
When I need content strategy inspiration, I grab hold of Meghan Casey’s The Content Strategy Toolkit, which breaks down the methods of creating strategy-driven content.
I also love the online magazine A List Apart because it not only publishes thought-provoking articles on content strategy but also covers related topics — such as design, UX and disruptive industries — that we as content strategists need to be following.
As for tools, one of my favorites is Buzzsumo for researching what kind of content is currently resonating with readers, while Twitter and Google Alerts often come in handy for keeping track of specific topics or organizations.
Finally, my favorite productivity trick: Taking a break from screen time and going for a run or getting my hands dirty in the garden. Inspiration is best found IRL.
