Professional Learning for Educators

develop your knowledge

UW Professional & Continuing Education, in partnership with the UW College of Education, offers a variety of professional learning opportunities for educators looking to expand their skills.

Our courses, workshops, professional certificates and summer institute programs provide a wide range of on-site and online options for K-12 teachers, principals, administrators and parents who want to deepen their current knowledge and explore new areas of interest.

Program Offerings

Mathematics Education Project

This program enables districts to explore student-focused best practices in mathematical pedagogy and gain insight on teaching Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSM).

National Board Certification Support Program

National Board certified educators create a collaborative environment where teachers have the opportunity to engage, interact and work with other candidates during the certification process. The program also facilitates and provides support for the three submission components: content knowledge, student work and video.

Native Education Program

This blended classroom and online program is designed to cultivate the educator's ability to create meaningful and effective relationships with Native American students as a community-based teacher. Educators will develop the expertise to engage Native students, families and communities in instruction, ensuring that Native students thrive and making school and future careers relevant to the pressing needs of these communities.
