About This Course

This course delves into more advanced topics in legal research, writing and analysis. We’ll continue to refine the skills needed to communicate effectively in legal matters. You’ll learn how to format an appellate brief, practice techniques for persuasive writing, and hone your objective memoranda writing skills and citation knowledge. You’ll also further polish your research skills using online tools and AI.

  • How to format an appellate brief

  • Ethical use of AI in the law

Legal Research With Westlaw

Westlaw is an online legal research platform used by legal professionals. Use of Westlaw is required for this course. Students will be provided with a Westlaw account.
