Application Deadline

We’re currently accepting applications and will be reviewing them in the order they’re received. We’ll accept applications until Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, or until the program fills, whichever comes first.

Application Steps

Step 1: Complete the required skills assessment

To confirm that you have sufficient math skills for this program, complete the quantitative skills pre-test before you begin your application.

Step 2: Gather the following materials 

  • A brief letter (250-word maximum) that describes your relevant experience, transferable skills and knowledge of the field, and explains why this medical biometry course series would be important for your professional growth
  • A resume that highlights how your education and any applicable experience fulfill the program’s admission requirements

Step 3: Apply

Complete your application and submit the materials listed in step 2.

Pay the $50 nonrefundable application fee. In one to two business days, you’ll get an email with a link to pay your fee.

After Applying

We’ll contact you within two weeks of receiving your application materials to let you know if you’ve been accepted to the program.

If you’re accepted, we’ll send you details about your first-term course, including information on how to register and pay your course fees. To ensure your spot in class, we recommend that you register by the priority registration deadline, which is four weeks before class begins. After that time, we may release your seat to another student. The final registration deadline is two days before the first class meeting.

Admission Requirements

To apply, you must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with scientific, biologic or medical terminology
  • Proficiency with algebraic manipulations, logarithms and exponential functions
  • Good writing skills in English

To confirm that you have sufficient math skills for this program, complete the quantitative skills pre-test before you begin your application. You should expect to spend 30 to 40 minutes completing this assessment. You'll need a score of 60% (18/30) or above to be considered for admission. Your score will be displayed automatically once you've completed the assessment.

English Proficiency

If English is not your native language, you should have at least intermediate English skills to enroll. To learn more, see either the noncredit programs or credit programs section of English Language Proficiency Requirements, depending on the option you’re enrolling in.

International Students

Because this offering is 100% online, no visa is required and international students are welcome to apply. For more information, see Admission Requirements for International Students.

Technology Requirements

  • Access to a computer (Mac or PC) with a recent operating system and a current web browser
  • RStudio and R statistical software package (both are free downloads)
  • High-speed internet connection
  • Headset and webcam (recommended)
