About This Course

Discover what it takes to operate a drone with confidence as you learn the essential building blocks of the field — drone anatomy, flight mechanics, FAA Part 107 regulations, airspace classifications and safety protocols.

You’ll explore the full spectrum of drone hardware components, flight control systems and mission planning software, developing both conceptual understanding and technical fluency. You’ll explore foundational aviation concepts like situational awareness and crew resource management and apply them to realistic drone operations scenarios.

By the end of this course, students will be prepared to sit for the FAA’s UAS Initial Aeronautical Knowledge Test (FAA Part 107 certification exam) and operate confidently within regulated airspace across a range of professional environments.
