About this Course


Leadership of any kind starts with a strong understanding of yourself and how you move through the world. In this course, you’ll begin learning how your work and personality type, level of emotional intelligence and unique combination of identities influence how you see the world and interact with others. You’ll explore foundational theories of and approaches to leadership and management, identifying those that you align with. Finally, you’ll explore how to situate your personal leadership journey within the larger context of your work in Washington state. You’ll explore the state’s history, how it impacts the structure of governmental bodies and the role various communities have played in it.
