Becoming an Instructor

Teach For Us

Are you a highly qualified professional with a passion for sharing your knowledge? Consider joining our outstanding team of instructors, and enjoy the rewards of helping working adults further their education and careers

Guide Students to Success

Our instructors overwhelmingly cite working with our enthusiastic and engaged students as the main reason they enjoy teaching our noncredit courses and programs. The majority of our students are working professionals motivated to advance their careers, broaden their skills or explore a new direction.

Join the University of Washington Community

As a member of the UW community, you’ll expand your professional network by connecting with other instructors, faculty, students and industry leaders. In addition to earning a teaching stipend, you’ll receive a UW email account, full access to the UW Libraries and discounts at the University Book Store.

Enjoy Flexible Times and Locations

Keep your day job and teach a course. Our programs are designed with busy adults, like you, in mind. We offer evening and weekend courses on the UW campus in Seattle and at our classrooms in downtown Seattle and Bellevue; we also offer a wide variety of online courses.

Enhance Your Teaching Skills

We provide resources to help you design your course and instructional materials and also offer workshops and training sessions on a variety of topics, including using learning management systems, teaching adult learners and presenting to diverse audiences.
