Partnering With Us

Whether you’re looking for employee training or a new philanthropic opportunity, or you’re with a University of Washington unit interested in launching a new program, we can help.

UW Professional & Continuing Education is one of the core programs offered and administered by UW Continuum College. To connect with a representative about a potential partnership, reach out so we can learn more about your needs.

Customized Programs

We partner with businesses, state agencies and professional associations to develop and deliver a wide variety of employee learning and development programs – from one-day workshops to certificates and degrees. Classes emphasize the development of real-world knowledge and practical skills that can be applied on the job immediately.

We can tailor many of our existing programs or create new ones that meet your employee learning and development goals. Plus, we can deliver programming online, on-site or at a UW facility, depending on your needs.

Partnering with us provides access to unique academic expertise and avoids the costly expense of developing, maintaining and providing educational programs in house.

Education for Boeing Employees

As a Preferred School Partner of Boeing’s Learning Together Program, we offer a variety of certificates, degrees and courses for Boeing employees. Learn more about our professional development opportunities that may be eligible for funding from Boeing’s Learning Together Program.

Community Partners

Our goal is to build and sustain reciprocal relationships that simultaneously meet community-defined needs with non-profit, community-based and public organizations in the greater Seattle area. Our partnerships are varied in their community focus and their depth of engagement. We welcome conversations with new and current community partners.

If you have ideas about additional ways we can partner with your organization to meet community-defined needs, contact us directly to explore possibilities.

Philanthropic Partnerships & Scholarship Support

Today, we offer one primary scholarship program that is funded by a combination of individual donors and business contributions. The UW Certificate Scholarship Fund helps individuals who cannot otherwise afford it enroll in certificate programs that accelerate their careers. Our founding donor is BECU and partner donors include AT&T, Windermere Foundation, Seattle Finance Collective, Perkins Coie and Environmental Science Associates.

The Rotary Scholarship is similar to the UW Certificate Scholarship, but it is solely funded by Rotary. The Othello Scholarship is focused on providing funding to individuals who need support for learning opportunities at the Othello-UW Commons location in Southeast Seattle.

Interested in opening the door to opportunity for more people who can’t otherwise afford continuing education? Get in touch so we can learn more about your goals.

Advisory Board Members

To guide the development and ongoing maintenance of our certificate programs, we bring together UW faculty and industry professionals specific to each program we offer. This combined industry and academic expertise shapes the curriculum of our programs, so they are current, relevant and forward thinking.

Interested in becoming an advisory board member? Get in touch so we can connect you with the appropriate program director.

Academic Partners

By partnering with colleges, schools and departments across the University of Washington, we bring our strengths to the table to administer self-sustaining, fee-based degrees, credit and noncredit certificate programs, workshops and conferences that would not otherwise be delivered easily.

Our flexible suite of partner services includes risk mitigation management, market research and analysis, budget modeling and budget development, activity-based financial accounting, instructional design, program management and reporting, marketing, recruitment, advising and registration.
