Advanced Embedded Systems with AI

Admission Requirements

To apply, you must have:

• Completed the programming skills assessment

• And ONE of the following:

  • Completed the Certificate in Embedded & Real-Time Systems Programming

  • Demonstrated equivalent experience with embedded systems programming, including the ability to:

    • Understand the basic principles of embedded systems, including hardware-software integration and system constraints

    • Program and design applications for real-time operating systems (RTOS), including task scheduling, resource management and inter-process communication

    • Design and develop embedded software, including advanced RTOS features such as task synchronization, memory management and interrupt handling

    • Work in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems, such as C and C++, with an emphasis on low-level programming and hardware interfacing

    • Navigate embedded system architecture, including microcontrollers, processors and peripheral devices

    • Debug and test embedded systems, using tools and techniques to ensure system reliability and performance

Note: If you decide to apply, you’ll be asked to attest that you’ve completed the skills assessment as part of your application.

Time Commitment

Including time in class, you should expect to spend about 10 to 12 hours each week on coursework.

English Proficiency
