Courtney Glavin
Assistant Professor, UW Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences
A licensed audiologist, Courtney Glavin teaches multiple hearing-related courses at the University of Washington, including Hearing Science and Hearing Disorders. Her research in hearing innovations focuses on precision diagnostics in audiology and understanding the mechanisms of age-related and noise-induced hearing loss. Glavin, who's also worked in R&D for the hearing-aid industry, is a faculty affiliate of UW's interdisciplinary Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center.
Glavin is a member, leader and volunteer for audiology professional organizations, including the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She holds a doctor of audiology and a Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders, both from Northwestern University.
