Dan Lamont

Photojournalist & President, Dan Lamont Photography and Tatoosh Media

Dan Lamont is a photojournalist and filmmaker with decades of experience in editorial and nonprofit work focused on social and environmental issues. His publishing credits include the New York Times, Time, Life, Smithsonian, Stern and Der Spiegel, and his clients have included the MacArthur Foundation, AT&T and Microsoft. Lamont's honors include 16 Awards of Excellence from the Society of Professional Journalists, regional and national ADDY awards, and the Tempodrom Fotopries Award in Germany.

Lamont has worked as a commercial studio photographer, photo editor, writer and art director, and has taught photography and filmmaking at the university level. He's served as president of the board of the Blue Earth Alliance and president of the ASMP Foundation, a non-profit organization associated with the American Society of Media Photographers. He holds a master’s degree in communication in digital media from the University of Washington.
