Heon Joon Choi
Heon Choi started his career as a physicist and engineer with a strong foundation in math and computer simulations. He applied his skills in the semiconductor industry for several years, researching and developing computational lithography techniques to enable the next generation of computer chips.
Choi's passion for automated algorithms and big data analysis led to a career as a data scientist at Amazon, where he works on ML models to detect criminal and sanctioned individuals doing business with Amazon. Choi enjoys sharing techniques with other engineers and scientists in ways that are practical and influential for day-to-day work.
