Meet the Instructor
James Forsher
James Forsher has been producing non-fiction programming for more than decades. His television programs cover a variety of topics that all examine our mass culture, including “Roddenberry’s Trek,” “Elvis Und Das Madschen Aus Wien,” the Discovery Channel’s 26-part “Hollywood Chronicles” series, the Public Broadcasting Service’s (PBS) eight-part series “Changing Culture of the Workplace” and “The Hollywood Censorship Wars” for the Arts & Entertainment Network. His feature-length projects include “A Paramount Story,” “Hollywood Uncensored,” and “Hollywood Ghost Stories.”
Forsher is a retired tenured associate professor in communication, having taught at The University of Vienna, California State University, East Bay, Seattle University, Temple University and Florida State University.
On top of his academic and film production background, Forsher owns his in-house film archive with more than 5,000 video, film and print titles. For nearly 30 years, the archive has been a resource for hundreds of documentaries, rock videos, TV shows and commercials.
