Meet the Instructor
Malinda Frey-Gemlich
Malinda Frey-Gemlich has been a UW instructor and Certificate in Guardianship curriculum developer since 2018. She is an advisor and retired founding partner of Clarity Guardians, a provider of fiduciary services throughout Western Washington. She is a former treasurer of the Washington Association of Professional Guardians.
Before becoming a certified professional guardian in 2012, Frey-Gemlich held positions as director of finance and controller for a placement service firm and was CEO of a small manufacturer in Silicon Valley. She is mother of five with a psychology degree from Santa Clara University. This grandmother divides her time between University Place and Hood Canal, WA with her husband and travel partner, Bret.
