Matt Szymanowicz
Environmental Program Manager, Port of Seattle
Matt Szymanowicz is an environmental professional with experience in delivering maritime and energy infrastructure projects across the Pacific Northwest. As an environmental program manager at the Port of Seattle, he oversees permitting and regulatory compliance for maritime facilities and infrastructure. He manages federal, state and local authorizations and works closely with resource agencies and tribes to ensure projects meet environmental standards. His work enables the Port to maintain and improve critical maritime assets, while fulfilling regulatory obligations and advancing environmental stewardship.
Previously, as an environmental consultant, Szymanowicz managed planning and permitting for water and power infrastructure projects across the western United States. He holds a master’s degree in marine and environmental affairs from the University of Washington.
