Mike Komola
FitwellHR LLC, Founder & Principal
An HR practitioner for more than 30 years, Mike Komola is passionate about the value of human resources as the greatest differentiating factor in an organization’s ability to create and sustain value and the HR function’s impact on an organization’s success. He has worked in all HR functional areas, but is most interested in learning and development, strategic HRM, people analytics and HR leadership.
Mike has worked in large corporations in mostly HR business partner and leadership roles in the U.S. and Europe. With the desire to own and operate a business while practicing HR, Komola and his wife founded FitwellHR, an HR solutions and staffing consultancy, which helps small and mid-sized organizations in the Pacific Northwest by providing HR support through partnerships, projects and people.
Komola holds a master’s degree in HR/Labor Relations from Michigan State University, an M.A. in Economic History from Villanova University and a B.A. in Liberal Arts/History from the University of Scranton as well as SHRM-SCP and SPHR professional certifications.
