Meet the Instructors
Oleg Melnikov
Oleg Melnikov is a director of data science at ShareThis Inc. in Palo Alto, California, with decades of experience in mathematical and statistical research, machine learning, finance, ad tech and database software development.
Melnikov is passionate about education and hard sciences. He has been teaching graduate level statistical inference and statistical learning at Stanford University since the fall of 2019. He also taught graduate level quantitative financial risk management courses at Rice University from 2014-2015 and was a lead teaching assistant for various courses in mathematics, statistics and time series at UCI and Rice. Melnikov holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from Rice University.
