Skye Naslund
Instructor of Geography & GIS Research Scientist, University of Washington
Skye Naslund is an instructor in the University of Washington Department of Geography and a Geographic Information System (GIS) research scientist for the Technology & Social Change Group at the UW Information School. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the UW and has been teaching courses related to GIS, cartography, the geography of health, demographics and globalization over the last decade. Naslund was honored with a Teaching Excellence Award in 2023.
Naslund’s research explores shifting geographies of health, disease and disability, and how ideas and knowledge about the world are communicated, particularly in the digital space.
