Steve Young

Senior UX Researcher, Amazon (Ring)

Steve Young is a user experience researcher in the tech industry. Since 2021, his experiences at Meta and Amazon have focused on trust and safety, ethical development of AI tools, and most recently, using consumer research to shape usable software and go-to-market strategy for Ring smart camera business partnerships in the United States and Europe.

Young began his career in academia and was a tenured associate professor of psychology at the City University of New York. He taught undergraduate and doctoral-level courses in research methods, statistics and social psychology, specializing in areas including motivation and emotion, social cognition, and thinking and reasoning. He earned a Ph.D. in social psychology from Miami University.
