Suman Bhat-Kincaid
Fundraising Consultant and Nonprofit Recruiter, Sukara LLC
As a career relationship builder, Sumi Bhat-Kincaid has always believed that forging strong connections grounded in mutual respect is at the core of every successful partnership. Bhat-Kincaid has spent over a decade working as a fundraising expert in the nonprofit sector. Her most recent role was as the director of philanthropy at Upaya Social Ventures, a global nonprofit organization focused on lifting people out of extreme poverty through sustainable job creation.
With specialties in corporate and foundation partnerships, Bhat-Kincaid has worked as a senior corporate partnerships officer at Bloodworks Northwest, where she gained institutional support for blood research, blood banking and transfusion services in the Pacific Northwest. She also managed corporate and foundation partnerships at SightLife, where she worked to support the organization’s programs in India, China, Nepal and Ethiopia.
Today Bhat-Kincaid continues her commitment to mission-driven work as a fundraising consultant and nonprofit recruiter through her company, Sukara LLC. She also serves on the boards of the Skees Family Foundation and AFP Advancement Northwest.
