If you’re a structural engineer working or planning to practice in an area with earthquake activity, understanding the principles of earthquake loading and seismic structural design are essential for developing safe and sustainable communities.

In this three-course certificate program, you’ll build a foundation in seismic design and analysis of built infrastructure. The program also dives deep into topics like nonlinear analysis of structures, seismic evaluation and retrofitting of existing structures, performance-based design, and the design and behavior of seismic protective systems.
