Course Application
This course is part of a certificate program. You can take this course without enrolling in the certificate program, but it won't automatically count toward earning the certificate. To apply to the full certificate program instead, visit the Certificate in Data Visualization page.
To apply to this course, you’ll need to submit the following:
- An application
- A current resume
- A personal statement outlining your relevant skills and knowledge and how you acquired them (250-word maximum)
We accept course applicants on a space-available basis and will email you before the first class to let you know if you’ve been accepted. If accepted, you’ll need to pay the course fee to complete your registration.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To apply, you must have intermediate proficiency in:
- Tableau, including the ability to create dashboards
- Spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to input, organize, and modify data and create a variety of charts

- Experience working with databases
- Ability to find and explore data sources
English Proficiency

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International students are welcome to enroll in an online offering of this course, which doesn’t require a visa. To enroll in a classroom offering, you must have a visa that permits study in the United States. This course does not enable students to obtain or maintain F-1 visa status.
