Designing a New Venture

About this Course

Entrepreneurial leaders launch things. One of the first steps in launching a new business or product is creating a compelling pitch that crystallizes your vision. From that point, the growth and success of your venture is highly dependent on the leadership team’s ability to execute.

This course focuses on the pitch. You’ll discover how to articulate your vision and share your what, why and how. You’ll learn how to translate your vision into a product or service that addresses a customer’s pain points, known as product market fit. We’ll apply key business frameworks to immersive, real-world examples. You’ll study the methodology of entrepreneurial leaders to discover the tools and technologies used by leading-edge companies both locally and nationally. You’ll also pitch (a lot!) and receive coaching. Plus, you’ll explore the different ways you can be part of a startup community — from launching a company or buying a business to investing or being an adviser or intrapreneur within a larger company.

Finally, you’ll begin to build your entrepreneurial network, which is different from building a network in the corporate world. You’ll kick-start this process in your cohort, which is filled with people focused on launching ventures and supporting each other along the way.
